The short version: this site has no contact form and no general analytics. It does run Google advertising measurement, which tells us whether an ad we paid for led to a booked call. Beyond that, we don't collect anything about you unless you choose to book a call or send an email.

Who we are

On The Rock, LLC, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. If you have a question about anything on this page, email jeff@ontherockllc.com.

What this site collects on its own

Very little. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no account to create, and no general analytics measuring how you move around the site. We do not build a profile of you or sell anything about you.

Advertising measurement

We advertise this firm on Google Search. To know whether that money is doing anything, we run Google's conversion measurement on this site. It records that a booking was completed and, where possible, ties that booking back to an ad click. It is counting outcomes, not watching you read.

This does involve Google, and it may set cookies in your browser. We do not use it to build an advertising profile of you, we do not run remarketing that follows you to other sites, and we do not share your booking details with Google for advertising.

You can opt out at Google's ad settings, or by blocking cookies in your browser. Blocking it has no effect on the site — everything works exactly the same, we simply stop learning which ad worked. Google's handling is governed by their privacy policy.

When you book a discovery call

Booking runs through Calendly, a scheduling service. When you book, you give Calendly your name, your email address, and anything else you type into the booking form, and Calendly records the time you selected. Calendly passes that information to us so we can meet with you, and Calendly also keeps it on their own systems under their terms. The scheduling widget on this site is loaded from Calendly's servers and may set its own cookies in your browser.

Calendly's handling of your information is governed by their privacy notice.

We use what you give us to prepare for and hold the conversation, and to follow up with you about it. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing.

When you email us

We keep the correspondence so we can carry on the conversation and keep a record of what was discussed. Ordinary email is not a secure channel, so please don't send sensitive information that way.

What happens automatically

Two things occur in the background whenever any website is served, this one included.

  • Hosting. This site runs on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. Like any web host, Microsoft's servers log routine request information, which can include your IP address, the time of the request, and your browser type. This is standard operational logging, and we don't use it to identify visitors. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
  • Fonts. The typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser requests the files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details. See Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep things

Booking details and email correspondence are kept while there's an active or prospective working relationship, and for a reasonable period afterward for our business records. If you'd like yours removed sooner, ask us and we'll do it.

Your choices

Wherever you live, you can email jeff@ontherockllc.com to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. We hold very little, so these requests are usually simple to honor. Depending on where you live — for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California — you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor those too.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies from Calendly may stop the scheduling widget from working, in which case you can still book through the booking page directly.

Children

This site is meant for people doing business with us. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we add anything that changes the picture here — analytics, a contact form, a client portal — we'll update this page and change the date at the top. This page describes how the site actually works today, not how we might like it to look.
